# Subscription Plans

Lite, Pro and Max are optional subscriptions that add weekly usage allowances while keeping normal pay-as-you-go access available. Plans are managed from the dashboard [Billing page](https://platform.empiriolabs.ai/dashboard/billing).

Allowances refresh every seven days on the weekly window tied to your subscription. Unused allowance does not roll over. The model picker shows whether the selected model is included, partly included, or pay as you go.

## Video-time multipliers

Video allowance uses 480p-equivalent seconds. The selected output and input mode determine how quickly time is used:

Multipliers combine when both apply. For example, a five-second 1080p generation from a source video uses 60 allowance seconds (`5 × 4 × 3`). The playground shows the remaining time for the currently selected settings.

## Included, partial, and pay-as-you-go requests

* A fully included request consumes plan allowance and does not touch your credit balance.
* A partly included request consumes allowance for the covered portion and pay-as-you-go credits for the remainder.
* Before a partly included request starts, your available balance must cover its full pay-as-you-go remainder. If not, the API returns `402 insufficient_credits` and consumes neither allowance nor credits.
* A request outside the plan pools, or one whose relevant allowance is exhausted, bills entirely at the listed pay-as-you-go rate.

Only an active subscription provides allowances and perks. Past-due, canceled, and expired subscriptions have no plan access. A cancellation scheduled for period end keeps the plan active through the paid-through date.

## Perks

* **Lite:** 5% off Hosted Agent seats.
* **Pro:** 10% off Hosted Agent seats.
* **Max:** one Basic Hosted Agent seat included, 15% off additional Hosted Agent seats, 5% off GPU Cloud, and priority support.

Plans are for personal use and cannot be resold or shared to provide plan capacity to another person or service.

## Account Usage API

`GET /v1/account/usage` includes a read-only `plan` block for an account with a current active or past-due subscription. A past-due status grants no plan access:

Usage events add `cost.included: true` when the full request was included, or `cost.partial: true` when only part was included. In both cases, `cost.plan` records the tier on the account when the request settled. It is historical and does not change when the account later upgrades or downgrades.

There is no public subscribe, switch, or cancel API. Manage plans from the Billing page.
